About Jonathan Rubinstein DVM

Since 2013, Jonathan Rubinstein, DVM, has practiced in Tampa, Florida, with the CountryChase Veterinary Hospital. His current position builds on a four-year dual residency completed with BluePearl Veterinary Partners in avian and reptile/amphibian medicine. Jonathan Rubinstein, DVM, has published a number of articles in his area of research, including Feather Loss in Psittacine Birds (Veterinary Clinics of North 2014; 17(1):77-101). He also authored the guest editorial Advances in Reptile Medicine in a recent issue of Advances in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Rubinstein remains active with the Association of Avian Veterinarians’ Conservation Committee and volunteers in Sarasota, Florida, with Save Our Seabirds, Inc. He is also a member of the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians. In 2012, he presented at the American Veterinary Medical Association’s annual conference on topics related to avian and reptile medicine. Dr. Rubinstein completed his bachelor’s degree in biology and anthropology at the University of Miami and holds a DVM from the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine.
